Holiday frocks reflect a festive mood, with dresses and more worked in gilded materials, whether subtle or super-sparkly — soft beads, textured brocades and the boldest of gold sequins.

Being the fan I am, of most luxurious and shiny things, this trend is a certainly a favorite. The Mike Gonzalez, Malandrino and Dallin Chase offerings are absolutely stunning! I also like ABS by Allen Schwartz, Single, Torn by Ronny Kobo and Milly. Taking care not to appear as a beacon in the night, I would choose a beautiful pair of chandelier earrings, one nice statement ring, and a rather understated shoe, such as a strappy sandal to allow the dress to be the focal point.

While this is referred to as a "holiday trend," I personally find this type of dress to be the perfect year round staple, as it doesn't matter the season, there will always be a function of some kind to show off a hot little number!
