Anya Hindmarch's Fall/Winter Outerwear Collection for Barbour Has Arrived
Anya Hindmarch's highly anticipated outerwear collection for Barbour autumn/winter 2010 is finally here. The four designs are the result of extensive archive access and research, combining quintessential English tailoring with Hindmarch's elegant city style.
"Barbour is an iconic British brand," Hindmarch said. "It is part of my childhood, and the feel and smell of a Barbour waxed jacket is something that evokes home, family and country weekends. It was fascinating working in the archives, hearing the Barbour stories behind some of the coats from explorers, military men and heroines. It has been fun to add a little Anya Hindmarch style. We have respected the original design but played with the cut, fit and the details. I can't wait to have mine so I can look less like a 'pavement girl' in the country."
The collection comprises of two styles, with the option of jacket or coat for each. The Foxy is functional and stylish with a luxurious velvet collar, while the Minx is lightweight and features the iconic Barbour quilt and Hindmarch's signature bow. Both exhibit the designer's trademark humour, with pockets embossed for Make-up, Money and Dog and Bone - discreetly hidden of course.
"Womenswear is one of Barbour's fastest growing segments and we are excited to be working with Anya Hindmarch," Andrea Freedman, design and development manager for Barbour said. "Her feminine elegance complements our country tailoring and the collection offers a choice of four very beautiful styles which are sure to delight any fashionista."
The Anya Hindmarch for Barbour collection will be available at Anya Hindmarch stores worldwide, Barbour's Heritage store, and selected wholesale boutiques worldwide.
Beautiful.....the fox fur trim is a nice touch.
