Chic & Accessories

Ruggero Lupo Mengoni, Barbara Centazzo

Amidst the neat and well-chosen settees and bookcases of a flat, the woman starring in the "Chic and Accessories'' talents shooting has a look characterized by the layering of garments with different lengths. Cropped jackets worn over ankle-length dresses enhanced by a wide array of accessories that, in almost every shot, fill the setting as well as underlying the visual balance expressed by the photographer. A comprehensive shooting that does not bore the viewer but rather takes him/her on a journey through the pleasantly glam images of the editorial.

Ruggero Lupo Mengoni - photographer Ruggero Lupo Mengoni was born in Florence and since he was very young he started snapping away with his father’s Olympus and printing his own negatives. He decided to study photography at the Fondazione Studio Marangoni from where he earned a diploma in 2003, and folowing a stint as an assistant photographer he started working in fashion, shooting editorials. Shortly after he moved to London where he got in touch with some niche magazines for which he still works today, and started shooting music videos. His research is inspired by contemporary art and is continually evolving. His attention is always focused on daily life he keeps on portraying with a film camera that becomes the inspiration for an image to be constructed to the last detail, taking a clue sometimes from painting. For him fashion is an instrument stimulated by teamwork where the styling, the makeup, the location, everything is conceived accurately to create the image one has in mind, to depict a dream through reality.
