The Tangley Oaks English manor in Lake Bluff was acquired by the Terlato Wine Group in 1995 to serve as its corporate headquarters and to house the group’s flagship company, Terlato Wines International. Originally commissioned in 1916 by Philip D. Armour III and his wife, Gwendolen Condon, Tangley Oaks was designed by architect Harrie T. Lindeberg.
