Mulberry: The New Ad Campaign

The English autumn: villas in the country, emblems of the decadent elegance beloved of novelists, with the triumph of the countryside in the passions as well as in clothing.

Mulberry’s new ad campaign plunges into the English countryside, but one reinterpreted in an imaginative, almost dreamlike, style.

The stars of the ad, which was photographed at Shotover House in Oxfordshire by Tim Walker, are Tatiana Cotliar and Julia Saner: they pose in silk and tweed surrounded by velvet armchairs and chandeliers. In the background, gigantic owls, birds and foxes give a touch of the surreal to the composition, which was designed by Shona Heath in a range of rich autumn colours.

The shots are accompanied by a short, 52 second video that switches between two and three dimensions (you can watch it on the company’s website). The film was designed by Ronnie Cooke Newhouse and Stephen Wolstenholme and directed by Luke Losey – it captures some of the moments in the campaign and puts them together to the sounds of Mike Snow’s Animal.
