All has been quiet on the Tamara Mellon front of late. Having reached the end of her non-compete agreement with Jimmy Choo at the end of February, we had expected a big announcement about her next project by now. But so far, there's been nothing, aside from some further information about her upcoming book, In My Shoes , which will hit shelves on October 1.

However, this morning Mellon has given us her biggest hint yet about her next venture, which is rumoured to be a 'lifestyle brand'. Tweeting a picture of herself embracing Francesco, who she calls "the most amazing last shoe maker", the 45-year-old wrote: "Back in the factories!" Shortly after, she tweeted another picture of herself having her foot measured. So it seems the co-founder of Jimmy Choo is designing footwear once again.

Back in February, rumours circulated that Mellon had secured a number of high-profile backers for her new business, which is expected to be eponymous. Designers Tory Burch and Tommy Hilfiger are said to have come on board, contributing to the £16 million that she has reportedly raised. The same reports suggested that she plans to open stores in London, Los Angeles, New York. Brazil, Hong Kong, Qatar and Singapore. (Daily Telegraph U.K.)

It's certainly interesting to know what goes on "behind the scenes."
