Fall 2012's Most Enticing Shoes?

Yes, according to  The Cut.

Louis Vuitton
Square toes suddenly feel new again — the charmingly clunky platforms at Miu Miu, Prada, and Louis Vuitton all had them. This Mary Jane version stands out with its fresh mix of brown and navy with just a hint of sparkle in the rhinestone closure.

Derek Lam
A retro floral print is less kitsch and more must-have when printed on python and mixed with an of-the-moment cap toe.

Chanel
When it comes to footwear, Chanel can get a bit whimsical (see the gun and lighbulb masterpieces of seasons past). These shoes played on the show's crystal theme, featuring what looks to be a delicious chunk of rock candy at the base of the heel.

Jil Sander
Simons completed his refined, demi-couture looks the on the runway with athletic-inspired mesh and patent slingbacks. Consider them a fresh way to finish off minimal looks.

Anthony Vaccarello
Vaccarello debuted his first shoe collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti this season and, like his body-conscious clothes, this vampy stiletto is sharp, sexy, and confident.
Theyskens' Theory
Black patent leather on a pin-thin gold heel can say a lot about a woman. Mostly that she's a little dangerous and has great taste.

Alexander Wang
The angled boot shaft is beyond flattering to legs. Even more so when a fishnet sock is peeking out.
Lanvin
Red soles? How about glitter soles?

Yves Saint Laurent
Stefano Pilati consistently creates eye-catching shoes that make editors salivate, and he did not disappoint in his final for the house. These futuristic metallic pumps (with mirrored heels!) are worth snapping up as a collector’s item.

Thakoon
Dorothy’s iconic ruby red slippers get a 2012 reboot in a rich metallic leather.

Stella McCartney
The hunt for the perfect black pump never ends — this version, with its thick white rubber sole, satisfies the craving for a sporty version of the closet staple.

Isabel Marant
Expect to see Emmanuelle Alt nonchalantly pair these studded boots with a pair if skinny jeans and, consequently, whip her loyal followers into a frenzy.
Altuzarra
Pair these lace-up stiletto ankle boots with a sharply tailored silk blouse to instantly channel Carine Roitfeld.

Miu Miu
Among a sea of high heels, this menswear-inspired brogue stands out as a chic way to give tired feet a break.

Marc Jacobs
Editors raved about the pilgrim buckle shoes at Marc Jacobs. Expect to see them in every accessory spread in every magazine come fall.

Nina Ricci
The delicate lace adds subtle sex appeal to a T-strap pump.

Proenza Schouler
Thick Velcro straps, woven leather, a chunky heel ... these sound like the makings of an orthopedic shoe, but this peep-toe ankle boot is far from geriatric.
3.1 Phillip Lim
Nubbly fur bits make these boots feel cozy on even the coldest of winter days.

Erdem
This digitzied floral-print ankle boot certainly toughens up the label’s ladylike sheath dresses in the best of ways, but can look equally great with a pair of rolled-up jeans.

Céline
Phoebe Philo's magic touch instantly dissolves any reservations one might have about white heels. Suddenly the oft-maligned color feels modern, especially in a new shape that falls perfectly between a pump and a wedge.
