Lady Gaga to Create a "Santa's Workshop" for Barneys

Fall is not only the holiday season, it's the season of being forced to think about the holidays way before they actually happen. And Lady Gaga, because every week since she got famous you've been forced to think about her. And so: Barneys announces today that Lady Gaga is the face of their holiday campaign! And, judging by the teaser art that the publicists send around, her ligaments have been removed for the occasion! Well maybe not, but seriously, Gaga has been awarded the privilege of reinterpreting Santa's workshop to install in a whole floor (the men's, naturally) of Barneys on Madison Avenue. Artists Eli Sudbrack and Christophe Hamaide Pierson of Assume Vivid Astro Focus and Gaga's stylist Nicola Formichetti, also Mugler's creative director, will help create the workshop, which goes up in mid-November along with Gaga's workshop-themed windows on Madison.

Formichetti also helped Gaga and Barneys come up with exclusive, limited-edition, small gift items to be sold in Gaga's Workshop, other Barneys stores, and Barneys.com, with 25 percent of sales going to a charity of Gaga's choice. While it all sounds pretty amazing, it's unclear if part of the promotional efforts will include the chance to sit in Gaga's lap and tell her what you want for Chrismukkah, which the world has been longing to do since that one child got to sit on her knee in May. What would you ask Gaga Claus for? A vacation, maybe?

My, my my, that Gaga is a force to be reckoned with isn't she?!
