Love Her Style!

The Lovely Kimberly Chandler is the mother three, and wife of Tyson Chandler (They were high school sweethearts) who plays for the New York Knicks. She's branded herself the "anti-basketball wife," as she chooses to be a role model, and live her life in a meaningful way. She's a stylish fixture on the New York social scene, and dedicates her time and energies to various charities.

She's been featured in Vogue, as well as having her name appear on best dressed lists. I read that Tyson was drawn to her because she didn't "follow the pack," didn't feel the need to impress him or anyone else, and that her style was unique. Isn't that really what true style is all about? I think so!

Style Watch: Gelila Puck

Who is Gelila Puck, some of you might ask? None other than the wife of famed celebrity chef and restauranteur, Wolfgang puck. The uber chic Gelila is a fashion designer (she designed the handbag in picture three), and Philanthropist. Ever on the lookout for stylish women, Gelila caught my eye, and I knew that I had to add her to my list of "women of style."

Fashion Retrospective: Gloria Swanson

While she will always be remembered for her role as "Nora Desmond" in Sunset Boulevard, her sense of style and love of fashion remains legendary. I can imagine that she's "original clotheshorse," as it's written that she spent thousands per year on her wardrobe. She was always the epitome of glamour. I recently watched an episode of The Carol Burnett Show on which Gloria Swanson starred. She was beautifully "turned out" in the latest 70s fashion sporting a classic bob. This fashion icon will always be one of my favorite women of style.

Stylish Stylist:: Pholoso Selebogo

The stylist, who is little more than 20, is a creative talent and - when it comes to style - shows a maturity that few could hope to match

I can remember vividly the moment I met the creative ingenue, it was in Berlin for fashion week a few years back, I was hitting the galleries and parties with German designer Kai Kuhne and American stylist Avena Gallegher when we came across this larger-than-life spirit adorned with nine silver dots on her face and wearing what seemed to be a second skin of tight black leather.

When I asked her "who are you" she answered dismissively "I am Pholoso" then promptly went back to her dancing partner - somehow with all camera's and attention on her. Then everywhere I went on the European fashion circuit, she was there: Paris, London, Copenhagen, Antwerp and beyond.

So who is this girl - that stylistically shows a maturity few can emulate? When you finally win her conversation she offers up references that are far beyond her years - perhaps she is exactly who she initially told me she was - just "Pholoso". Simply put she is a twenty-something stylist from South Africa who found her way to the fashion center of Antwerp, Belgium with her mother, a government worker, only to win the hearts, minds and respect of a long list of industry insiders.

"My style is very random, I just wake up and think how I feel like."
