RETAIL THERAPY
Scott Morrison, who was previously with Earnest Sewn and Paper Denim & Cloth, has taken the helm at Japanese denim house Evisu. Morrison’s fi rst order of business was to tighten up distribution and revamp the overall look of the brand, once known for urban styles with loose fi ts and heavy logo details. The rebranding features narrower, more modern cuts with unique treatments true denim aficionados will appreciate. The new collection premieres exclusively at Barneys New York this month, and a line of bags will debut next year. Barneys New York, 9570 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, 310-276-4400; evisu.com

RECREATIONAL USE
Recreational Use Rich Cofinco and Robert Nand are ahead of the curve when it comes to footwear. Their Orange County-based line, Creative Recreation, is worn by fashion-forward guys across the globe. And who can blame them when the shoes—described by Cofi nco and Nand as “the ultimate crossbreed”— masterfully combine the comfort of a sneaker with hip design? The duo gathers inspiration from travels to faraway destinations such as Europe, Japan and South America. Bringing together colors from one culture and design ideas from another, their experiences are evident in every collection. One of our favorite styles is the Cesario Lo ($90).
