Oh Those Cutouts!

I'm on this whole cutout (shoes) thing at the moment. Booties or otherwise, that extra detail adds to their unique appearance. I'm REALLY loving Kenneth Cole's versions....either, or both would be great for this season and beyond.

A Summer Staple

The espadrille has long been a summer staple, favored by the ultra chic of days gone past. In my mind, I can envision Babe Paley, Slim Keith and Peggy Guggenheim sporting flats while on "holiday." They were also popular among the men of the "chic set." Cary Grant  wore a pair in the movie "To Catch A Thief." What better for traipsing around the Riviera.

Though I do sometimes wear a sneaker in the summer months, (depending on the occasion) The espadrille is a great alternative. I've featured some of my favorites.
