Behind the Scenes and More With Twinkle By Wenlan Spring 2010

I love the pieces from this designer......each piece "tells it's own story" and is not a "clone" of another. I also love the use of color and the special detail given to the black and white jumpsuit, the coral dress and the abstract print dress. From this point forward, I will be a loyal follower.

Designer, Wenlan Chia, backstage moments before the Spring 2010 Twinkle by Wenlan show. She described the collection as “Dreamy-bohemian with a touch of rock and roll rebellion. The Twinkle woman is a free spirit that follows trends, but is comfortable with her own idea of how to put it all together.”
Models who were hired to walk in the Twinkle show get their picture taken in the look their runway look before the show. A board is made so the girls know what they are wearing, and what order they walk in.
The shows hair team works on creating a unique hair braid and style to complement the clothes in the collection.

Backstage, before the show, each model has a card attached to the look she will wear. Directions on how the look should be styled are explained on these cards for volunteers called “dressers” to get the models dressed.
The models take a quick minute after getting hair and make up done to practicing their line up, and the order they will walk in right before the runway show begins.
The bib necklace is back in black with a girlie antique feel.
This mini dress was a great combination of abstract prints and bold images hidden within.
The exposed zipper gives this otherwise sweet dress an edgy feel.
The jumpsuit moves forward for spring, and gets a dressed up look, while giving the illusion of two separate pieces.
Silver necklaces are a clean and cool accent for spring.
The simple pairing of a cardigan and pant was made special by combining structured stripes with a soft floral print.
This coral colored sheath dress was an unexpected pop of color seen in the collection.
