News in Fashion

In an Article written by Marc Karimzadeh, for W magazine titled, Roberto Cavalli: Doggy Style caught my eye. The article reveals that his wife Eva is a passionate animal lover. The couple have two monkeys, seven parrots, three cats, one iguana, and more horses than they are to count. They also have a St. Bernard, and two Bichon Frises. Eva's animal instincts inspired her husband's latest endeavor. Roberto Cavalli Pets came as a natural conclusion, therefore to bring a bit of style to out canine universe. The Cavalli Pet Collection is designed for small and medium-sized dogs and offers such extravagances as satin-trimmed bathrobes, printed silk shorts, velour tracksuits, and puffer and shearling jackets. Accessories include, quilted dog carriers and patent-leather collars and leashes. "who doesn't love dogs"? His wife Eva said.

According to London's Daily Mirror, french designer Christian Audigier, who designs the Ed Hardy Line, is teaming up with Madonna. She has been offered a six-figure deal to design a special collection that will include tattoo-inspired t-shirts and diamante encrusted bodices.

Coach has come out wit a metallic gold, leather, suede-lined box to hold your "baubles". I absolutely love it! It reminds me of the classic train cases that the ladies used to carry.

According to INTERVIEW magazine, a Nielsen survey performed in February, revealed that Gucci is still the most coveted luxury label in the world. Thanks goes to Frida Giannini who was hired away from Fendi by Tom Ford to design accessories. She has risen through the ranks to assume creative control.

W magazine states that "style icon" and society figure Daphne Guinness continues her transformation from muse to designer. Forthcoming is a limited-edition scent for COMMES DES GARCONS, due in April. In the scent, she aims to conjure up men's cologne with musky notes of amber, cypress, tuberose and orange. Her control extends to the packaging. Inside the linen paper box, a plain but engraved bottle is nestled in red velvet. The name of the scent is "Daphne". "It's no frills or bells". "I wanted to get to the core", she says.
