Fine art is often a major inspiration for jewelry designers, and occasionally, the two have an appropriate moment to create something together. In Lizzie Fortunato's case, it was bags (the jewelry designer offers a selection of playful clutches in addition to her bijoux) with fine artist Sally King Benedict.
Available now, the collection consists of six different pieces—clutches, bucket bags and totes—with each featuring one of Benedict's unique artworks. In fact, Fortunato was so enamored by Benedict's work that she argued with her twin sister Kathryn (the other half behind the line), over whom it should belong to. And while Lizzie won out (the work now hangs in her kitchen), anyone can own a piece of Benedict's playful pieces. Albeit, on a bag.
