Marc Jacobs' Good Deed
The Marc Jacobs store on Bleeker bears a bright new window display. The eye-catching art work is the result of a collaboration with the Creative Growth Art Center.....a program that works with disabled adult artists. For this project, each artist designed an item for the Jacobs by Marc Jacobs line. The images were printed on totes, wallets and t-shirts, they also created pieces to display in the window. The store is the first of several across the country and abroad that will host the art. The windows and merchandise will be hitting stores over the next couple of weeks and will be up indefinitely. All of the proceeds will go to the Creative Growth Art Center. What a wonderful venture! I can imagine that the artists are so excited about this project, as we all need some kind of creative outlet in our lives. There is nothing like the feeling of looking at something that you created.....what a sense of pride.
