Cartier Jewelry "With a History"








As Cartier celebrates it's 100th anniversary, they will hold an exhibit which will showcase a display of jewelry and other items designed over the years for the rich and famous. Featured here is a sampling of some of the items which will be on display.


1. Platinum and diamond Bandeau made in 1924, it was inherited by Doris Duke from her mother Nanaline Duke.

2. Choker necklace made in 1906 owned by Mary Scott Townsend and Mrs. Donald McElroy.

3. Tutti Frutti double clip brooch made by Cartier in 1935 and belonged to Mrs. Cole Porter.

4. A Tiger Lorgnette made in 1954 special order for the Duchess of Windsor.

5. A Tiger clip brooch made in 1957 and belonged to Barbara Hutton.

6. A clip brooch made in 1937 and owned by Mrs. Irving Berlin.

7. Bracelet made in 1927 which belonged to Mrs. William Randolph Hearst.

8. A handbag made for Mrs. Conde Nast
