About The Shirt.......

Net-A-Porter's Edit Magazine, says that for spring, it's all about shirt and the shirt dress. Whether worn front-to-back, or off-the-shoulder, styling options are numerous.

A back-to-front shirt

This is not just a trick but a micro trend, kick-started by a clutch of street-style stars who rocked the look at fashion week. It’s pretty self-explanatory: just put your shirt on backwards and knot or button at the back. Not all the way, though – leave a flash of flesh on display to nail the sweet spot between sexy and prim.

with a modern spin

How to style something as timeless as a blue cotton shirt and make it seem like a new idea? Just so: look for a defining detail, like the peplum shape of this one, and style with slouchy pants, a robe coat (denim fits the theme nicely) and add a pair of flatforms for good measure. Just remember to keep the vibe more undone than buttoned up. Ease is everything.

A skirt over a shirt dress

Sounds odd, looks amazing. Length is everything here; you want to be able to see a good couple of inches of the dress below the hem of your skirt. Shape-wise, look for a wraparound or slit skirt, something that when worn alone would err on the side of revealing – all the better to show off flashes of the shirt dress underneath.
