While it seems an unusual pairing, the end result proves that nothing could be further from the truth. Read on, as Harper's Bazaar gives us the scoop.
You may have thought Rihanna had her plate full, following a brand new album launch, world tour in the works and debut collection as creative director at Puma—but the songstress shows no signs of stopping her bid for full domination of the music and fashion worlds. Today, the singer joined forces with iconic shoemaker Manolo Blahnik for a collaborative Spring 2016 shoe collection.
Riri has long been a fan of Blahnik—often seen sporting his sexy heels on and off the red carpet. Now she's collaborated with the shoe mastermind himself on a capsule collection called "Denim Desserts." The 6-piece range will feature different styles from strappy mules to sexy boots (which Rihanna describes as "trouble") all made of denim, sequins and artisan embroidery inspired by the singer's hand tattoos.
All styles will be available to purchase on May 5th in Manolo Blank stores in London, New York and Hong Kong only with prices ranging from $895 to $3,995. We have no doubt that they will sell out just as fast as her Rihanna x Puma sneakers—start lining up!

Manolo Blahnik for J. Crew
Manolo Blahnik is rolling with a new Crew. The luxury footwear label teamed up with J.Crew for the specialty retailer’s fall ’12 fashion presentation, held Tuesday in New York. George Malkemus, president of Manolo Blahnik USA, said told Footwear News the collaboration was months in the making and began when J.Crew President Jenna Lyons “fell in love” with Blahnik’s popular BB style.
For the show, J.Crew chose to reimagine the single-sole pointy-toe pump in 41 different ways, with glitter, suede and a variety of colorful fabrications culled from its apparel line.
While Blahnik often works with ready-to-wear designers, including Carolina Herrera and Zac Posen, this is the first time the brand has ventured outside the luxury realm.
“It’s a way of bringing high and low together,” said Malkemus. “This is the way modern women dress today, and nobody does it better than J.Crew.”
Though details are still being worked out, Malkemus said the shoes are expected to sell online and in select J.Crew stores under the Blahnik name, for $595 to $645. The actual release date has not yet been finalized.
