Gok Wan's Plus-Size Lingerie

Gok Wan has designed a fourth line of lingerie for curvy women. You can find it on sale on the Simply Yours site.

The fourth line of lingerie designed by Gok Wan, the British fashion consultant and TV presenter, has gone on sale on the British site Simply Yours.

There are bras and slips designed specifically for plus-size figures – the aim is to boost women’s sensuality, whatever their size. The line, worn by the curvy model Laura Catteral, has been created in two distinct patterns: vintage blue polka dots on a white background (Spotty) and a monochromatic grey (Liquorice).

There are also shapewear pants and bodysuits designed to enhance curves. As Gok Wan says, "I think we’ve developed some of the best underwear available in the market place to give you a little bit more confidence with whatever you're going to wear! Don't just take your Auntie Gok’s word for it… buy some, try it and if you do love it then let me know ‘cause I love you lots!"

Bare Plus

A new lingerie line for plus-size women has been launched in the middle of the New York fashion Week: let’s welcome Bare Plus. "The new American woman” says Jay Dunn, chief marketing officer for the lingerie line, “wears a size 14. More than 60% of American women wear a size 14 or higher”. Media fail to portray such change in the woman body and often shops don’t stock the full range of sizes. And it’s exactly such system that the philosophy at the core of the new lingerie line fights against.

 The collection, showcased out of the limelight of the major designer shows participating in the North American Fashion Week, will soon become part of a Curvy Fashion Show during the next NY Fashion Week in September 2012. A great array of lingerie for sexy and glamorous women with must-have pieces featuring animalier prints, lace and satin.
