Melissa McCarthy Takes a Turn at Designing

I love Melissa McCarthy! Not only am I a huge fan of "Mike and Molly,"  but she possesses a particular kind of moxy which is endearing, as well as encouraging. Read on for more about the upcoming collection.

Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy has been candid about her struggle to find designers willing to fall all over themselves to dress her in Hollywood.

 But, rather than sit at home and stew, she’s gotten proactive and can now add “fashion designer” to her already-impressive résumé. Her still-unnamed casual sportswear collection will come out next fall with more upscale apparel, as well as beauty and accessories, expected in 2016 and 2017.

 Oh, but don’t just assume that she’s only interested in dominating the plus-size market. She’s an equal-opportunity kinda gal. She tells WWD:

I'm doing all sizes. It's a strange thing to stop at a certain size. Women don't, so why should clothes?
