THAT High-Low Top

I'd been searching for an "extreme" high-low top for quite some time now, and I'm please to say that my search ended today. My preference is one that isn't chiffon or polyester. Initially, I found and ordered New York and Company's version. After more looking, I ran across Urban Outfitters' henley, and one offered by Forever 21. I've decided that I must have the latter as well.

I love the color! It looks purple (they also have it in black), but they're calling it blue. for me, it's all about the longer back!

Melissa McCarthy Takes a Turn at Designing

I love Melissa McCarthy! Not only am I a huge fan of "Mike and Molly,"  but she possesses a particular kind of moxy which is endearing, as well as encouraging. Read on for more about the upcoming collection.

Oscar nominee Melissa McCarthy has been candid about her struggle to find designers willing to fall all over themselves to dress her in Hollywood.

 But, rather than sit at home and stew, she’s gotten proactive and can now add “fashion designer” to her already-impressive résumé. Her still-unnamed casual sportswear collection will come out next fall with more upscale apparel, as well as beauty and accessories, expected in 2016 and 2017.

 Oh, but don’t just assume that she’s only interested in dominating the plus-size market. She’s an equal-opportunity kinda gal. She tells WWD:

I'm doing all sizes. It's a strange thing to stop at a certain size. Women don't, so why should clothes?

Good Deals!

It's no secret that T.J. Maxx is one of my favorite shopping destinations for handbags, jewelry and shoes. The only unfortunate thing is, that sometimes my local stores are a little "light" in the shoe department. What I'm learning to do is to check online when I'm looking for a particular style. While browsing today, I ran across some great buys on boots and more. All items featured are under $60.

I'm a huge fan of Modern Vice boots, and was so excited when I found their "Ringo" bootie (picture one) for $34.99. They also offer a pair with cobalt on either side. This is sweet deal, considering the fact that their pretty much sold out online except amazon.com ($78.99-one size left) and shoemall.com for $148.95. "Mystic" (picture two) is also another great buy. They're on clearance at lordandtaylor.com for $87.48 and $154.99 at heels.com. Though there is one recurring complaint that I found in a couple of reviews....the rhinestones adorning the heels come off easily. What I would do to hopefully prevent that, is to swab some super glue around the base of each stone. It sounds like it would work.
