In the halls of the Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan 60 final-year students of the three-year course in fashion design at the Milan campus of Istituto Marangoni showcased their collections: sheerness, sequins, plays on color, but also unusual and handcrafted techniques, a research on silhouettes and proportions and spectacular smoke effects. A full-fledged show.

This year’s novelty? The Best Collection Award that went to Chinese designer Zhu Liyuan Zi, who will take part in the Best of Best of Istituto Marangoni, a selection that will name the best student of the thee European campuses of London, Milan and Paris.

During the fashion show Ines Massi, the winner of the project launched at the start of the academic year in collaboration with Ratti, one of the leading producers of womenswear textiles, furnishings and accessories in silk and other high-quality natural fibers, showcased her 5-piece collection realized using prints by Ratti. The mini-collection is the result of the collaboration with the company that the student, coming from the Marche region, in Italy, has earned by winning the contest.
