Angel Jackson is a sister-run British handbag name whose designs are carried by celebrities internationally, from Lady Gaga to Kate Moss, from Sienna Miller to MTV's sparkly new host Alexa Chung.
The gorgeous bags are being stocked at Bendel's, and will soon be hitting Intermix stores as well -- we know that this design duo will have no trouble "cracking America." Why? Wait till you see the bags -- and fabulous corresponding belts! Paris Hilton recently ordered one of everything. Literally.
We interviewed Katie (Katie is based in the UK and Millie watches over sales and distribution in Bali -- where they're about to open a graffiti and outfit, we've become famous for our gold and snakeskin jaguar belts (worn by the likes of Paris Hilton, Ciara, Rihanna) ... belts look great with dresses to add a bit of glam or to give some shape, and they can really liven up jeans. You can wear a really simple outfit but then put on a jaguar belt to make a cool statement.

Luxist: How long has Angel Jackson been around?
Katie: We set the company up about four years ago. We were hanging out and surfing in bali and absolutely loved the place, so decided to have our fair trade workshops out there. We met a guy called Joko out there who is now our production manager and is like family to us.
Katie: We show the collections at London Fashion Week and Paris, where we are always uber busy with buyers and press. this year we have Massive Attack playing for us which will be really cool and set a great vibe for our party.
Luxist: How do you feel about "cracking America"?
Katie: We've has such a great reaction frfashion show room) to learn more about the line, and of course, to introduce them to you! Read below for the interview and photos of our favorites of the luscious bags.
Luxist: So, you make bags with your sister. Who does what?
Katie:I'm the creative director of Angel Jackson and based in the UK. Millie is head of sales and distribution, and is based over in Bali where we have our own fair-trade workshops.

Luxist: Bags and belts. Why belts?
Katie: Accessories can totally make an om press, celebs and buyers over in the States, we're excited to be branching out! The Americans seem to love the Brit cool thing we have and our gold jaguars.
Katie: We have been offered a pop up store in Henri Bendel to coincide with NY fashion week and Intermix would like to stock us in their stores across the country, so it is very exciting times for the brand!
Luxist: Which is your favorite handbag you've designed?
Katie: I adore the sequin satchels from A/W 10 and the studded feather serics, they look great when partying but can easily be worn in the day. When in paris i like to wear my silver sequin satchel with just a pair of jeans and a boy style tee, it totally lifts an outfit and makes you feel glam!
Katie: The chandra snakeskin clutches are beautiful and great value for money. The original jai satchels are one of my all time favourites which we have brought back doe to popular demand and are on our vintage website.
Luxist: Have you had any feedback from the celebrities who've been seen with your bags?
Katie: We've had fantastic feedback from celebs from the A/W 10 collection. the feather bags, the sequin satchels and Mohawk satchels have been really popular, ordered by the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Cory Kennedy, Alice Dellal, Diasy Lowe, Pixie Geldofand Lady GaGa. Paris Hilton has literally ordered one of everything from our current SS and AW lines too!
Luxist: What's next?
Katie: We'd love to extend the range and ready-to-wear would be perfect for Angel Jackson in the future ... its hard not to picture the perfect little dress or jacket with each bag or clutch we design!! We are also really taking off in Japan, they love all the feathers and sequins. We have some collaborations in the pipeline too, so that is one to watch out for.
