Versace & H&M
After its famous collaborations with Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garçons, Jimmy Choo and, recently, Lanvin, H&M has asked Donatella Versace to design a collection for men, women and the home. The designer opened up the Versace archives for H&M, and reinterpreted some Versace classics: dresses perfect for a party, with studs, leather and bold prints, matched with accessories like sandals with heels and glamorous jewellery.
The men’s line, though, is in impeccable sartorial style, with standard dinner jackets, belts and men’s jewellery. For the first time in H&M’s history of designer collaborations, the collection will include a series of items for the home. The collection will be available from 17 November in around 300 selected retail outlets around the world. Donatella Versace has also created a spring collection for H&M, which will be available from 18 January 2012 exclusively in countries where the H&M online shopping service is available.

This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the party season.” Donatella Versace wore a dress from the brand’s collection for H&M at the Versace 2012 spring-summer menswear show held in Milan on Monday 20 June.
