Fashion + Technology= "Dazzling Cool"
Technology and fashion is a match made in heaven. You can expect an electrifying result from their union. Proving our point is the unique Galaxy Dress by Cute Circuit. The Galaxy dress is probably the most hi-tech dress there is. With 24,000 full color LED’s all over it this dress is sure to mesmerize you. It is also touted to be the world’s largest wearable display allowing you to advertise almost anything on your body. The dazzling lights work together to make a fashion statement like never before. A masterpiece, the intricate circuitry that underlies this frock was painstakingly hand-embroidered on a layer of silk, imbuing it with the fluidity of fabric. What is more, to ensure that the sparkle of this dress never fades, the designers have added four layers of silk chiffon, along with 4,000 hand-applied Swarovski crystals that extend the gown’s glittery sheen even after the LED bulbs go dim. Believe it or not, the dress is extremely lightweight and its heaviest part is the 40-layer pleated silk organza crinoline that gives the skirt its flounce.
A few iPod batteries power this dress for about 30 minutes to an hour while the LED technology ensures it doesn’t heat up. A futuristic and bedazzling creation, the Galaxy dress is on display at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. (Luxury Launches)
