Absolutely breathtaking!
The Beauty of the Bride – The bridal edition of Grazia India puts the spotlight on wedding beauty for its first ever issue. Earlier this month, the magazine shared with us a bridal couture spread, and now Grazia enlists photographer Taras Taraporvala for a series of stunning images featuring Nidhi Sunil and Radhika Nair. Marta Ferri for Birkenstock
Birkenstock and the Birkenstock-type sandal (remember Celine's fur lined version?) is enjoying a healthy resurgence. Made all the more popular by those "fashion stars" who chose to incorporate a pair into their particular brand of chic. While they're not my cup of tea, it's interesting to watch the iconic shoe's style evolution.
The sporty and a little ‘nordic’ world of Birkenstock shoes meets the poetic universe of Marta Ferri, the young Milanese fashion promise with a penchant for ornate and handcrafted fabrics.
The collection includes the classic double buckle sandals with the home furnishing-inspired floral patterns that are a now signature of the designer’s style, both in her made-to-measure clothing items and in the accessories. The Birkenstock sandals, famous for their comfortable soles, have now discovered their romantic side thanks to Marta Ferri and her creativity.

Say What?
As of late, we're enjoying a influx of fun, interesting, and "wordy" clothing and accessories. These playful pieces allow us to inject our wardrobes with items that brings a smile to our faces. Who can forget Lanvin's big and bold, HAPPY, LOVE, and COOL neckpieces which captured the runways and our attention...talk about your statement piece! While I liked the idea, that particular style was a bit overwhelming for my tastes.
I did however, want a "love" pendant necklace (something on the delicate side) to layers with others. I found exactly what I'd been looking for at T.J. Maxx this past weekend. It's similar to Sydney Evan's diamond version.
Since I was kinda "feeling" the whole word thing, I thought that I'd feature some sweaters, sweatshirts, shoes and accessories that caught my eye.

Just Coats
I woke up with coats on my mind this morning, and with good reason! Yesterday we had 60 degree temps which dropped overnight to 30. Add in that ugly wind chill and it's not pretty! I can stand to be many things, but cold is not one of them! That said, I MUST have a coat that can stand up to the cold. While I do like some of the shorter jackets and such, I prefer a coat that at least hits me mid-thigh....if it's a little longer, that's o.k. too.
Of course us girls still want to look good even though we're layered and bundled. My answer to that is a pretty coat. When the days are drab, I like something bright and cheery. I rotate between orange and red most days. When it's really, really bitter, I take out a hooded puffer. I also like a dressier coat for a night out on the town. Peter Pilotto's offering is one that would do quite nicely. It's actually down-filled, but the design makes it versatile enough for day or night. I did add a shorter coat that I'm anticipating. JCP's nautical peacoat is really cute. Perfect with smoking loafers or a cute flat on a day when it's not quite as cold.
From puffers to military styles, I've featured a few of my favorites.
