"Little Joe" by Gail Elliott
Remember 1980's model Gail Elliott? Well, she is still modeling twenty years later and looking better than ever! That is her in the top picture wearing her own designs. She started her line in 2002 and states that her inspiration came out of her experience as a well traveled model. the line was initially launched as a range of beautiful slips and camisoles that served not only as clothing to lounge and sleep in , but could be worn out as well. Like the pieces worn in the picture above. The collection was a big hit and Gail expanded the direction of the line to give her customers a broader range of styles. From silk and cotton dresses, tops and skirts, to knitwear in cashmere and fine wools, a woman can create an entire wardrobe from the line or add a few pieces to update. Elliott say that she always designs with herself and her friends in mind. As women who travel widely and work hard, they look for clothing that is flattering, feminine, versatile and luxurious. These elements exist in each piece of her "Little Joe" by Gail Elliott collection. Gail's designs have attracted the likes of Cindy Crawford, Naomi Watts, Sharon Stone, Jessica Simpson, Elle McPherson, Helena Christensen, Natalia Vodionova, Yasmin Lebon, Ashley Judd, Molly Sims and Elizabeth Hurley who are all passionate followers of the line. The items worn by the model are pieces from her current line. She also has a passion for candles which can be found on her website littlejoe.com.
Lee Angel for HSN
Longtime jewelry brand Lee Angel now has a new lower-priced line on HSN. I have long followed the line and love their unusual statement pieces. Their pieces for HSN, are a little more, "middle of the road", I'm sure to appeal to the majority of consumers. The pieces are beautiful none the less. I love the mix of brilliant crystals and stones.
